I rate the workshop as one of the highlights of my career. It challenged me to examine who I am and why I make photographs. I don't think I can express the enthusiasm for photography it has renewed in me.

Photographers' Group Critique
fine tuning  your creative vision

For more than ten years Rob Goldman’s Croup Critique has provided photographers with priceless insight and guidance. Goldman integrates creativity, technique and photo history into these inspiring, interactive sessions. His expert facilitation guides photo enthusiasts at all levels to develop and refine their vision in a supportive yet challenging community. The Group Critique is the perfect compliment to private coaching. Topics include:

• Capturing the essence of a subject
• Aesthetics: composition, color, perspective, cropping
• Technical mastery
• Working with models: posing, rapport, eliciting emotion
• The photograph as metaphor
• Editing the photo session
• Mastering digital printing
• Technical and emotional aspects of lighting
• Portfolio preparation
• Displaying photographs: editing, sequencing, framing
• Committing to an artistic practice

Participants are invited to bring a selection of photographs to each session for discussion and constructive feedback by Rob and the group. Goldman draws from his extensive education, vision and experience for these in-depth reviews. Attendees leave Group Critiques confident and motivated to take on the challenges of bold, artistic expression.
