Creative Photography : Art & Technique Photography has the power to do more than reproduce what we see: it can transform the ordinary to the poetic as we add personal vision to technology. With this shift from science to art, we enter the world of creative photography. This intermediate course emphasizes the relationship between concept, technique and image-making by familiarizing students with a range of techniques available for subtly controlling and expanding the expressive capacity of photographs. In this 4-session course you’ll learn how to take more expressive pictures by mastering the elements that make great images—camera controls, lighting, composition, viewpoint, etc. You will understand how the camera, lens, film and digital media “see” for greater control over your results.
